After watching Deadpool & Wolverine last month, choc-full-of of superhero cameos, it is hard not to run down the list of Marvel comic book characters that I’d like to most see on the big screen.
Without further ado, here are the three most-anticipated Marvel heroes that I’d most like to see appear next in the MCU.
Blade 🗡️
After witnessing Wesley Snipes’s scene-stealing cameo in Deadpool & Wolverine, my excitement for the oft-delayed version MCU Blade film starring Mahershala Ali is on my short list of must-see movies.
But a funny thing happened along the way after watching the third Deadpool flick—I also want to see more Snipes as the Daywalker, and Ryan Reynolds seems to concur.
Fantastic Four 4️⃣
Marvel’s “first family” has had a rough go on the big screen.
The 2005 film made over $300 million but it was a mixed bag to say the least.
Its sequel, The Rise of the Silver Surfer, is better but still not the Fantastic Four film that we deserve to see.
The 2015 version of the film is one of the worst superhero movies of all-time. It’s barely comic accurate in many ways, is visually dull, and it downright seems aimless and senseless at times.
It’s safe to say, ten years later (2025), I’m cautiously optimistic that the Pedro Pascal-led Fantastic Four film will far exceed its predecessors.
Nova 💫
Call me crazy, but I’m still holding out hope for a Nova stand-alone movie.
Besides being a super-cool comic book character with one helluva backstory, I’d love to see the MCU harken back to 2014, and pull a character loosely associated with one of its best ever movies—Guardians of the Galaxy!
Move over and bring us Nova.!!
