Prayers & Thoughts To All Affected By COVID-19 π
There are so many movies that I want to see after we’re cleared to return to theaters. Below I list my top four.
Black Widow π·
At first, I was only mildly interested in seeing Black Widow, especially since it’s a prequel, and the fact that I know that she sacrificed herself in Avengers: Endgame.
However, after watching the fantastic trailer, featuring one of my favorites, David Harbour, I was mildly hooked.
Yeah, I said it. I now can’t wait to see Black Widow!
Wonder Woman 1984 πΈπ»
The first Wonder Woman feature film shattered most folks’s expectations. Gal Gadot kills it as the titular hero and Chris Pine (Steve Trevor) did what he always does. He acts really well.
The sequel features Pedro Pascal (as Maxwell Lord), who deftly portrays: Pablo Escobar in the popular Netflix series Narcos as well as the lead character in The Mandalorian.
The film also includes Kristen Wiig (Cheetah). I’m really interested in seeing her portray this character, but I won’t spoil the character’s “character,” for those who aren’t familiar with her comic book backstory.
Tenet π°
Although it’s not a superhero movie, it features action, a Washington (Denzel’s talented son John David), time travel, and is directed by cinematic genius Christopher Nolan.
The trailer may be cryptic. But the factors listed above are more than enough for me to be excited.
Candyman π
Another non-comic book movie, but that’s all good. It’s an update to one of the more underrated horror films in the past 30 years–the classic Candyman (1992). But what I like most about the 2020 film, is that it’s not a remake. It’s a follow-up to the events of the first film.
It’s also great to see the original Candyman (Tony Todd ) cast in the film. But you know what really has me stoked to see this movie? The fact that horror maven Jordan Peele is the film’s producer.
