Just like many fans, I’m just as excited to see High Jackman reprise his role as Logan/Wolverine (albeit a variant version) in Deadpool 3, as I am to see Ryan Reynolds’s third appearance in his titular franchise.
Besides Jackman and Reynolds, I’m geeked to see:
Lady Deadpool
She’s been teased in the trailers. All you see is her sultry walk and golden blonde hair, but you know her appearance will carry weight. How much gravity will she pull? We’ll have to wait and see.
Dafne Keen
I was very happy to see the actress appear in Star Wars: The Acolyte. And I’m even more stoked to see her reprise her role (Laura/X23) from one of my favorite comic book movies ever—Logan.
I’m sure she’s going to kick ass.
Superhero Cameos/Easter Eggs
I do sometimes get annoyed by lazy fan service cameos which are often used to appease geeky fans, while not focusing on plot development. I’ve witnessed this in various franchise films, like Jurassic Park and Ghostbusters to name a couple.
But you know what, I don’t give a damn here! LOL Give me as many mutants and X-Men as you can seamlessly fit into the plot.
Why am I ok with this? Well, because I believe that Disney/MCU has waited long enough (since 2019) to start really using its (former) Fox Studios comic book IP—let it rip!
Family Reaction
Going to the movies, especially to see Marvel’s MCU movies, is a family affair for me. As much as I’m excited to see Deadpool and Wolverine, I’m just as excited to see how my family reacts to the movie.
Not that you needed any more reasons to see the movie this week, but I feel compelled to share mine.
And sharing is caring. 😁
