Thanks to the DC Universe in 2025!

November 19, 2025 By Ja Dawes

Happy (early) Thanksgiving 🦃 to everyone! I’m in holiday/chill mode, so I got a really short post for you!

Sticking with the thankful theme, I’d like to thank DC for finally restoring faith in its film and television franchises. Many props go to creator James Gunn, for his work in directing Superman and Peacemaker, Season 2, which I thoroughly enjoyed.

But this upward trajectory for DC started with a slew of productions that dropped over the past six years. This fact should not be lost.

The Magnificent 7 Which Started/Continued the Momentum

  • The Penguin, Season 1 (2024)
  • The Batman (2022)
  • Peacemaker, Season 1 (2022)
  • The Suicide Squad (2021)
  • Birds of Prey (2020)
  • Joker (2019)
  • Shazam (2019)

Keep up the good work DC—looking forward to the 2026 slate of movies and shows, especially the Green Lantern series.
