For Marshall 🏛

And resurrecting a landmark court case won by the groundbreaking Thurgood Marshall—the first African-American Supreme Court justice. Given today’s current political and racial turmoil, this movie is required viewing. I thank you for that.

For Black Panther 🐆

And inspiring millions of kids of all colors by way of your character’s brains, brawn and regal wisdom. In many ways it was like the man that you were. You proved that African-inspired content and themes could be both extremely profitable and equally impactful in more ways than anyone could have ever imagined.

For Being Chadwick Boseman

You will always be remembered, and will surely be depicted on the big screen for others to remember you in the same way that you did for Brown, Marshall and Robinson. Your acting brilliance, courageous battle with cancer and your universally-recognized goodness of character, will inspire millions more for years to come. I thank you for that.
