I just realized that Tom Holland’s MCU Spider-Man: Brand New Day is the first, live action Spider-Man franchise to get four films.
Tony Maguire’s Sony franchise was very good but it dropped off significantly by the third movie, and ended shortly thereafter.
Andrew Garfield‘s Sony iteration only got two films, and both received very mixed-to-mediocre reviews.
Which brings us back to Brand New Day—in my opinion, it’s the most-anticipated MCU film since, you guessed it, Spider-Man: No Way Home.
The whopping ticket pre-sales and the buzz surrounding the latest trailer support my proclamation above.
Now, it just has to deliver. There is an old adage that states, “the best predictor of future success is past performance.” Spider-Man: Homecoming, Spider-Man: Far From Home and Spider-Man: No Way Home are the past performances. Based on this adage, Spider-Man: Brand New Day should be that proverbial future success.
I am confident that I’ll be proven right on Thursday, July 30 (opening night)! 🕷️
