Six years ago I posted a top superhero movies of all-time list. Six years later it is time for me to update and expand this list, with accompanying Rotten Tomatoes scores.
Without further ado:
1. Logan (2017) —arguably the best Western since Unforgiven. 93% 🍅
2. The Dark Knight (2008) —quintessential Batman and Joker duel. RIP Heath Ledger. 94% 🍅
3. Captain America: The Winter Soldier (2014)—great political action thriller, reminiscent of the 1970s. 90% 🍅
4. Avengers: Infinity War (2018)—most breathtaking final act (i.e “snap”) in comic book movie history. 85% 🍅
5. X-Men: Days of Future Past (2014)—the best X-Men movie ever. 90% 🍅
6. The Avengers (2012)—the first, and still probably, the best superhero team-up movie. 91% 🍅
7. Superman (1978)—made the comic book movie genre viable. 94% 🍅
8. The Incredibles (2004)—the best animated superhero movie. 97% 🍅
9. Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse (2018)—the best Spider-Man flick. 97% 🍅
10. Black Panther (2018)—unprecedented socio-political themes set it apart. RIP Chadwick Boseman. 96% 🍅
