I do not know if the Marvel Cinematic Universe is back to its Infinity ♾️ Saga form, but I do know that the second season of Loki has been must-see television.
Tom Hiddleston
Hiddleston shines as per usual as the god of mischief. It’s been amazing to watch his transformation from Phase I villain to Phase II and III antihero to a fully-fledged hero in his own series.
Loki’s arc has literally come full circle, and Hiddleston has brought us along for a magical ride.
Jonathan Majors
His off-screen issues aside, I think it’s safe to say that Majors is a super talent, perfectly suited to play the multiversal supervillain He Who Remains—the latest big baddie in MCU film lore.
He’s shown uncanny range as the quirky Victor Timely to the malevolent He Who Remains aka Kang the Conqueror.
Everything Everywhere All at Once
I love the character O.B. portrayed by Ke Huy Quan. He’s a geek with personality. There’s nothing about him not to like. He has great chemistry with my other favorite character, Mobius (Owen Wilson) as well as with Victor Timely.
I can’t help but think of his other “multi-versal” Oscar-winning role in Everything Everywhere All at Once (2022). I’m not sure which movie was filmed first, but his presence in Loki is either the biggest coincidence or one of the most effective crossovers in recent cinematic history.
The Verdict
As you can tell, I like a lot about Loki, Season Two. But the three players above stand out most.
